THE
FROG PROCESS
What is the frog metamorphosis?
Frog metamorphosis is a change in the shape of a frog egg, tadpole to a frog.
How the frog metamorphosis?
Frog metamorphosis process consist of several stages :
1. Egg stage
Frog egg is covered with jelly-like capsule which expands when touching the water. This
development makes the volume is enlarged and the fetus protected. These eggs are piled in a heap so that survival is more awake and heat are also more able to survive. Hatched tadpoles can result in a short time. Many frogs and toads use the lake or river that dries up at certain times, as it prevents the animal came to eat their eggs and tadpoles.
2. Tadpole stage (3 days)
Tadpole has a big head and upright. There's gills and mouth open to eat. External gills appeared three days after the tadpoles out of the egg
3. Advanced tadpole stage (4 weeks)
Gills covered with skin outside the body and replaced by internal gills. They eat the algae. The hind legs appear.
4. The second change (6 weeks)
Tadpole starts to look like a small frog with a long tail. They swam the river in groups. The tail is then shortened and began to take shape like a boomerang.
5. Changes in the second follow-up (9 weeks)
Some kind of network is formed and divides the atrium of the heart. As a result, his heart now has three rooms, which helps the flow of blood between the heart and lungs.
6. Changes in the third follow-up (16 weeks)
Tadpole has had strong back legs. His eyes have
also been prominent. Its tail is very short.
7.
Last Change
Adult frogs gathered on the banks of the river before leaving the water for the first time. They do this in groups.
8. Mother and father toad
Although the survival instinct is well developed Anura, frogs and toads are also caring for their children. They lay eggs in large numbers to make sure there are many tadpoles can escape from predators that eat the eggs. Gelatin coating also protects the eggs from other predators. Several types of frogs and even maintain their children by making their own backs as a nest. Examples of this frog is a frog Suriname.
